Allison Keil
Graduate Student
Before joining McGill’s Integrated Program in Neuroscience rotation program, Allie completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Neuroscience at the University of Portland where she researched the epigenetics and biology underlying positive emotions. Allie then worked for two years in a lab researching neurodegenerative diseases and sleep in mice and human models before beginning her PhD journey at McGill. During her rotation in the McBride lab, Allie was exposed to the exciting world of mitochondrial research, and she hasn’t looked back. In her PhD, she aims to characterize a novel mitochondrial small GTPase protein called ARL10 and its potential links to MDV formation, inflammation, and mTORC2 signalling.
