  • Golgi vesicles drive late steps in division 2020

    We investigated the downstream steps of mitochondrial division and discovered that Golgi-derived PI(4)P vesicles are delivered to mitochondrial-ER contact sites to drive mitochondrial division downstream of Drp1 constriction.

  • The role of infection in Parkinson's disease 2019

    Previously, we found that PINK1 and Parkin repress mitochondrial antigen presentation (MitAP). Now we demonstrate that intestinal infection of PINK1 KO mice leads to MitAP, establishment of cytotoxic mitochondria-specific CD8+ T cells, and the onset of L-DOPA-reversible motor impairments.

  • Mitofusin topology revisited 2018

    Here, we presented evidence for a revised understanding of mitofusins as single-spanning outer membrane proteins with an N[out]–C[in] orientation, providing functional insight into the inter membrane space contribution to redox-regulated fusion events.

  • Insights into the birth of a new peroxisome 2017

    In cells lacking peroxisomes, peroxisomal import proteins Pex3 and Pex14 are targeted to mitochondria before MDVs selectively deliver them to pre-peroxisomal structures. These structures mature via fusion with ER-derived vesicles carrying Pex16, providing important-competent peroxisomes.
