Jessica Wolf
Graduate Student
Jess is a Masters student at McGill in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience. She acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Honours Biology at the University of Waterloo, having done her senior honour thesis project in the Glerum lab. There she modelled human mutations of a Cytochrome c oxidase assembly factor, COX11, in yeast. Driven by her curiosity for the wonderful world of mitochondria, Jess is now a member in the McBride lab and is investigating the molecular mechanisms by which the MIROs drive mitochondrial-derived vesicle (MDV) formation and the potential roles of the ARMCXs in cargo selection within forming MDVs.
Expertise: MDV formation, MIRO1/2, ARMCX1/2/3, Cytochrome c oxidase assembly, mitochondria
